What should you check before you flip your store live?

A short walk-through that catches the small things that quietly cost you sales on day one.

Most launch-day problems are not dramatic. They are a checkout that fails on a phone, a page that overflows, a shipping cost that surprises people at the last step. None of them announce themselves. This walk catches them before a customer does.

  1. Step 1: walk your own checkout

Buy something from your own store on your phone, all the way to the payment screen. Check that a card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay all work. If you would not finish it, a customer will not either.

  2. Step 2: read every page on a phone

Most of your shoppers are on a phone. Scroll your home page, a product page, and your cart on a small screen and fix anything that overflows, hides, or reads wrong.

  3. Step 3: turn on the money-savers

Before you send a single visitor, switch on cart recovery and set returns up the way you actually handle them. These stop leaks you would otherwise pay for later.

  4. Step 4: point your domain and tell the team you are open

Connect your own web address so customers see your brand, not a platform. Then let the team know you are live so it starts working from the very first visit.

Do this

Run this five-minute walk-through, plug the leaks, then point your domain and open.

You get

You launch without the small broken things that quietly turn first-time visitors away.
